I used to sleep walk, talk, sing and laugh. It happened a lot when I was younger, less now these days, once I actually managed to sing a whole song off Sesame Street then laughed and was right back to snoozing a second later. Have some weird story's.
Ever had one of those nights where you go to bed and try to sleep but you know you have to get up soon, so you sort of only half sleep all night waiting for the alarm? Or you wake yourself up repeatedly cause your subconscious is worried that you will sleep through the alarm? Once when I was ultra worried about sleeping through my alarm the next day, I woke myself up, checked the clock and hopped into the shower. I really woke up as my mom popped her head into the bathroom and asked me what the heck I was doing showering at midnight, I looked at my watch and she was right, I swear I had seen 7am on my alarm clock.
Welcome to the world of Topers insomnia! This happens to me regularly, even if I tell myself to go to sleep multiple times. That's half of the insomnia problem, the other part is where I can't actually get to sleep cause my brain is working oh so well. Even if I do relaxation, think of specific things, try to think of nothing none of these things work to slow down my durn brain.
Anyways, work was pretty good today.. private of course. Back to the public tomorrow, ho hum. Still feel the need to rant about doctors who dole out narcotics like lolly water instead of addressing the underlying problem. The people who become what we term "frequent flyers" or in other terms drug seekers, because of their chronic pain are not managed at all. They start out with some major or minor offense to their bodies, they are not treated properly for some reason or there is little that can be done for their obvious injuries, but nothing is done to set them up at the beginning for an effective long term pain relief program, nope they are just written up for pethedine/morphine/narcotic of choice and they bcome addicted. From then on every time they come into hospital they are automatically written up for their 2/3/4hrly drugs... it drives me insane, they become so dependent that they are ringing their call bell on the exact minute they are due more of the drug. Grrrr Frustrating.
