"Hmmm" is a good explanation of my week.
PDP is all done finally. The stupid thing about proving you practice competently (yes we have guidelines called competencies that you have to practice in accordance to legally), is that you can pretty much make up most of the stuff you submit. Yes you have to have some knowledge of what they want, but once you have done it a couple of times you can pretty much do it standing on your head. Anyways, I was deemed competent for another year, then I have to do another one.
I didn't tell most people I was leaving until Tuesday, it was nice that some of them even said they would miss me! We had a lunch at work, but it was for Melbourne Cup day (horse races for the unaware).
I called the private from public, cause they wanted to know when I could work, I said, any day really... so the booked me. For Friday, then Mon, Wed, Friday for next week. Maternity from the private calls a few times, but I want days off for a couple days seeing as though I worked 6 in a row, so I say no. SO I go to work yesterday, I say to the rosters/oncall guy, "I feel bad, cause maternity here keeps calling me and I am already working on other wards here, but I am available for Tuesday, Thursday if they need me" He says, oh I will call em and let them know that now. The boss of maternity calls back short and says, can you work Thursday? I say yes. Then rings back again an hour or two later and says yes for Tuesday too. So working Monday to Friday early shifts next week, not bad.
After asking for more shifts at the royal and never being given them and all the hassle I have had there I never thought it could be this easy, the private offers me all I want and more. I got told a little later that same day that the Unit manager from maternity would be quite happy for me to go on a short term contract, which is what I had been thinking at first. I am gobsmacked!
Well... I better get going. Brother gettin mad at me cause I am telling him the wrong thing to do in Windwalker, what can I say? I did this bit ages ago, memory is shocking. hehehhehehe.
