Long ish sorta day today, got woken at 6:45am by the phone, decided to ignore it anyways cause I knew it had to be work durn it!
So I get up at 9 when work calls again, it is the Royal saying you had yourself down as available for today... I say yeah ummmm....
They use the dreaded words "we are really desperate, we have no one else to call"
I say, ok I can work this afternoon, he says great, can you work tomorrow morning too? I um and arr.. hoping to get out of it, I end up saying yes.
So then I grab some breakfast, waiting for the next call... yes it is the private...
"We are so understaffed this week, everyone is away including most of our on call staff, damn your already booked for tomorrow? Ok can I book you for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, oh and I need someone for Monday too."
I am like.. errr... ok... (Monday is a public holiday here... great money cause I get payed on call rates wooowoo!) so 6 days in a row... am I a glutton for punishment or what??
I caught my 39th baby tonight... first time mom, didn't know the sex, it was really nice, beautiful birth, always amazed watching it let alone helping a new little life into the world. Lil fella was kinda cute. Couple o weeks early, but in very good nick.
well.. guess I better try and get some sleep before tomorrow morning.. eek.
