Hmmm tonight was well... hmmm...
10 surgical patients between two of us, the place was a mess when I got on, people had obs going that were already an hour late... then we had one woman come back who was just 'not right', call it nurses 6th sense or something. She was very hypertensive(had high blood pressure) when she got back to the ward from theatre, she was clammy and sweaty, though her temp was fine, and she was talking very little and was quite drowsy. She was just worrying me, but her obs were stable and there was no obvious signs of major trouble. Gah I hate it when I just can't put my finger on what is going on with a patient. So that was most of my night, catching up on stuff and trying to work this woman out and fix what was going on, I got out half an hour late *sighs*. Oh well.. not back on till tomorrow afternoon, so i might even finish ffx before I get there!
The doc added a diuretic to my blood pressure pills cause my bp was up again, so now I get to pee all day long.. wooopeeeee...not. Now I have to go back in a month fer blood tests and all... eeep. Feeling kinda tired now, guess I should be gettin to bed!
