Sooooooooooooooo tired.
Yay for day 6 being over. 2 days off now.
Have been looking after this woman for the last week or more on and off, she is elderly and has been really sick, the problem is that she had her appendix out and then got really sick after it. She didn't want any further treatment and had stated such, her husband and son had both passed away during the last year, she had no reason to want to live in her view, so... her doctor decided to treat her anyways. yeah he made it so that she was not for rescusitation in case of cardiac arrest, but otherwise she was to be actively treated... bleh! So he put 3 drains in to her abdomen to drain out the crap, he put in a central veinous cannula(cvc) and gave her feed through it, iv antiobiotics... blah blah. Anyways, she told us over and over again over wed thurs friday that she wanted to be left to die, Saturday she tried to pull the cvc out, thought if she did she would die straight away... she finally sees the doctor on Monday, we tell her that is her chance to tell him she wants all her treatment stopped, so... instead... she tells him she is unwell but gonna fight it. ARGH... So then she pulls the CVC out yesterday, I figure that she wont let it be put back in, but today i find out she got it put back in... I understand he changing her mind and wanting to live. But the truth is.. she didn't want treatment from the start, and the doctor should have considered her wishes...Oh well.. she is getting better, but she will have probably 6 months or more rehab and stuff before she will be back to normal.
Arm hurts... up on the scaffolding yesterday, my uncle decided to replace the gutters and repaint the facia, so I have helped put up and take down the scaffolding 3 times now. My arm is sore cause my uncle dropped a heavy board on it, wish I actually bruised, cause it hurts like buggery.
Anyways.. off to the movies now
