Mikes birthday yesterday... happy birthday honey! We had a very busy day doing nothing much at all waiting for our Wii to arrive. It arrived finally in the afternoon, we had decided to get one earlier on in the week as our Christmas/birthday pressies and had gone to the store, only to find out we missed getting one at one store by 30mins or less, so we went to the wal-mart and missed out there by being the next in line! So we decided instead of going back and trying again that we would look on ebay, Mike found a great deal and we bought it, we got it 3 days later which was yesterday. So he got a nice birthday present which was good :p The mario galaxy makes me feel a bit motion sick though as you stand upside down on the screen, but you can play the old mario 64 game and some older mario brothers so its kinda fun.
We then went out for dinner at the one really nice place to eat in our little town, I had tried to make reservations earlier on this week, but was told on the phone that they don't take reservations on the weekend. I was like..err...why??? When we got there at 5:30pm last night it was to be greeted by a wait of 1hr before we could get seated! Now normally they make you wait, at least a little bit and I know its Christmas and all, but why in the heck didn't they take reservations, at least we would have had some prior warning! The other problem was that the waiting room was packed and the weather outside was sitting at a balmy 6 or 7 degrees (I changed it to Celsius for all the Aussies out there hehehe) if I put it in American it was in the low 40's. I believe tables were empty inside.. they should have staffed accordingly... gah not that I know how to run a restaurant but goodness with this many people waiting and not all tables filled?
