Okay so I know anyone who reads thought I may never write again... oops you were wrong :p
It was my birthday on Monday this last week and even though a woman never tells her age I hit the big 3-0! We had the day all planned, Mike had a orthopedic DR appointment first thing in the morning and then we were going to mess about until lunch, go to my favorite fast food and then hang out and watch a movie then go out and have hibachi for dinner (always heard it referred to as tempinyaki in Australia dunno why). I was even gonna try and forget about studying and everything for the day... well the night before something went wrong on the puters at Mikes work and he was on the phone for hours on Sunday night trying to help sort it out. So Monday morning comes and I have this feeling... they called during every thing we did for the day apart from while we were AT the DR's and while we were in the movie. Seriously I wanted to stab every one of the guys at his work for interrupting my special day, nearly burst into tears at one time after we were sitting in the truck for 30 mins while he was talking one of his work mates through something. So anyways, I had a good day apart from that. We went and saw Forbidden Kingdom with Jet Li and Jacki Chan and really really enjoyed it, it is a movie I could watch more than a couple of times, not so much like "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" which is a maybe once a year sort of movie.
So the day ended with good Hibachi and then it was back to studying, the NCLEX exam so I can become a registered nurse here was scheduled for 8am on Thursday morning. It was 8 am an hour or so drive away and I had to be there half an hour early.. so we got up at 5:30am...bleh.
So we get up and showered and got breakfast on the way which meant I was feeling totally nauseated by the time we got there, nearly had to stop the car and get sick a couple of times on the way. Once I got there I felt a bit better, went in not allowed to talk about anything in the Exam cause I signed a non disclosure agreement before I took it. Its a predictive thing, so when you are asked a question it asks you a harder question if you the previous one right or a easier one if you got it wrong. You can answer between 75-265 questions until the computer knows if you are over the pass mark or below it. Just after I get in and start I find I need to go to the toilet...stupid diuretic... so I figure...well I will go to 75 and then if it doesn't cut off there I will go. So I get to 75 and no cut off so off I toddle to the bathroom.. come back.. and 4 questions later it shuts off.. hehehehehe. I leave feeling very very ambivalent about whether I passed or failed, most people tell me thats normal, sometimes you just have no clue whether you have passed or failed something. I have to wait 2 business days to be able to get my provisional results, so I am nervous but can't do anything. Mike tells me to look on Saturday, I figure they wont be there but I look anyways... and oh my... they are!! I passed... WOHOOOOO! Official results don't come out for another 3-4 weeks though.
Its been a very very busy month this last month, DR's appointments here there and everywhere, the chain got broken on my bracket for my roof toof to be moved with, we don't have an idea how it happened.. shouldn't have broken, so my orthodontist called my oral surgeon and sent me back to him 2 days later thinking it would be easy enough to just put a new chain on... boy was he wrong, lots of oral anesthetic and burning and cutting later I had a new bracket and chain, he had to put a stitch back in it again. So some pain killers later we are back to being okay, seriously wish this had been found and had been fixed when I was young, but oh well these things happen eh? My orthodontist here is awesome, his staff is really good and is secretary is very funny and very nice.
Well this has become a mammoth post so I think I will say cya...
